This peaceful town, tucked deep in a winding canyon, is a favorite retreat for nature lovers and those seeking a getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Cosmo Canyon is also the home of former Shinra scientist Bugenhagen, whose observatory sits at the top of this small colony.
Getting There
Cosmo Canyon is located roughly in the middle of the area it is named after. It lies northwest of Gongaga and south of Nibelheim.
Points of Interest
Bugenhagen's Observatory - This is where Bugenhagen conducts his experiments and charts the movements of the planets. Curiously, like all of the other electrical equipment in the Canyon, none of Bugenhagen's devices operate on mako-generated electricity.
Cave of the Gi - This was the main battleground for the Cosmo residents' long-running war with the Gi tribe. It is said that the spirits of the Gi never returned to the Lifestream and still haunt this cavern. Anyone wishing to explore the cave should speak to Bugenhagen or one of the village elders.
Shopping
Tiger Lily Arms Shop - The friendly shopkeeper here has a nice selection of weapons and silver armlets for you to choose from.
General Store - Features an excellent selection of regular and specialty curatives.
Materia Shop - Stocks some handy independant materias as well as non-elemental magic ones.
Restaurants and Bars
Pub "Starlet" - Sit back and enjoy a cold and frosty Lifestream cocktail with the laid back Cosmo locals.
Lodging and Accomodations
Shildra Inn - At 100 gil a night, this cosy little inn is a real bargain!
